libcopy.pl

A script that mirrors a directory. Only copies files that have been modified since last run.

Erases files in destination directory with no counterpart in source directory.

Ignores filenames beginning with a dot (invisible files).

For UNIX systems, including OS X.

To Use:

  1. For mac. Code.
  2. Run as
    perl libcopy from_directory to_directory
  3. Paths to ignore can be listed as additional arguments.
  4. Can be used on a remote volume, giving the destination pathname as /Volumes/My_Remote_Directory.

CAVEATS

Can't copy filenames containing '$'... not sure why.
